Happy Labor Day Weekend.

The campaign will be in motion all weekend beginning Saturday morning a motorcade and A C Walks in Whitehaven.

The Mayor will be IN the neighborhood as we canvass subdivisions around one of Memphis' major tourist attractions, Graceland. Before we canvass, the neighborhoods, we will motorcade through the community. We will line-up at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at Elvis Presley and Raines.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Meet up time for A C Walks is Saturday, 10 am at campaign headquarters at 1460 Union Ave. Most walks are completed by 1 p.m.

Women for Wharton continue to hold fundraising and Meet & Greet events allowing our supporters to gather in fun, intimate settings to hear about Mayor Wharton's vision for the future of our community. To host an event, please call Aleta Boyd at headquarters.

Phone Banking for the Mayor's campaign also began this week. Call times are every Monday through Thursday at headquarters from 6-8 p.m. Please call Catherine Green at the office if you would like to join these efforts. It is amazing how many voters can be contacted in just a few short hours.

Get ready to practice your wave! Living Ads for the campaign will be soon be appearing on a street corner near you. Dell Stiner is lining up times, locations, and volunteers. Please call headquarters at 725-1664 and volunteer.

The last day to register to vote in this election is Wednesday, September 7.

Voter application forms are available at headquarters or may be downloaded at www.shelbyvote.com. Early voting begins Friday, September 16. The changes for the voter ID law do NOT take effect until January 2012 and are NOT in effect for this election.
