AC Worton for Mayor

"Cities today face difficult challenges and exciting opportunities, and Memphis is no different.  I have a vision for Memphis and a record of leadership for people that can take us toward the future that we all want for our city.

"I’ve shown what can be done when you care more about results than rhetoric and more about people than politics.  Because of it, we have created a record of accomplishment that has attracted national recognition.  To do this, we brought in a new way of conducting the public’s business, turning controversy and conflict into progress and partnerships.  I will do the same for City Hall.

"We are entering a new era in the history of Memphis.  We must have a mayor who can bring us together, open up City Hall to the people, take a fresh look at city government to make it more efficient, and has proven that government can work for the people.

"That’s what I will do as your mayor.  I appreciate your support as we – you and I – work together for a bold, successful 21st century Memphis."
